One Mexican, five Danish and seven Chinese architects, engineers and building constructors now hold the title “International Master in Energy and Green Architecture” (MEGA). On 11 June they were awarded a masters degree following two years of half-time studies at the Aarhus School of Architecture and the Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Cooperation between these two institutions for the international master programme was initiated in 2007, and the class which has just concluded the MEGA programme is the first ever to do so. A new course will begin 10 September this year – and the deadline for application is 1 July 2011.
Based on the fact that resources are becoming ever more important as competition parameters, the programme combines the development of leadership potential with strategic professional expertise in energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
The teachers include Professor Liang Wei from Tsinghua University, Beijing and Walter Unterrainer of Austria, both of which are visiting professors at the Aarhus School of Architecture.
