
The Tsinghua Urban Planning and Design Institute in Beijing and the Aarhus School of Architecture invite you to participate in our joint international postgraduate master in Energy and Green Architecture. This master education is an opportunity to combine the development of leadership potential, and the development of strategic professional expertise.
The master education, MEGA, takes place at Aarhus School of Architecture in Aarhus, Denmark, as well as at THUPDI, Beijing, China.
MEGA is based on education sessions, split in 4 modules, and the teachers attending are experts within the actual module themes. The MEGA master counts for 60 ECTS points, which equals 1 year of full time studying or 2 years of studying half time.
The following program is liable to be subject to change, since the MEGA master education is constantly being improved.
During the first semester, there is one session in Denmark, Aarhus, and one session in China, Beijing.
Included in the education sessions in Aarhus is a study trip to Austria and Germany, and included in the education session in Beijing is a study tour round of Beijing.
The second semester consists of literature study and exercise on innovation, and two virtual innovation studies—in city scale and in architectural scale, respectively.
Third semester is focused on implementation and includes a two-week workshop in Beijing in september 2012 in cooperation with Chinese and Danish companies.
Apart from the education sessions, MEGA is based on e-learning, group work via Internet (Skype), literature study and exercise.
