We share knowledge

It is – and always has been – an integral part of being an architect to travel the world, share knowledge and learn from other cultures. Architecture is developed, communicated and built in a globalised world.

We cooperate with a variety of internationally acclaimed universities abroad and have many international professors, teachers and students at the school who contribute to a vibrant atmosphere. And we continuously exchange students with architecture schools abroad and receive visits from renowned lecturers from around the world.

Studio Context making sustainable architecture in India.

Recent international cooperation

The school’s international partners include the Central Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, in Beijing, University of Technology Sydney, Studio Mumbai, India and Beijing Tsinghua Urban Planning and Design Institute among others. And the school continuously facilitates joint workshops, i.e. for Danish and Chinese architecture students.

A collaboration with Puerto Rico School of Architecture

A recent example of an international cooperation is the collaboration between students and teachers from Studio Transformation and Architectural Heritage and the Puerto Rico School of Architecture.

In April this year, students and teachers from the studio went on a three-week study trip to Puerto Rico. And in 2014 the Puerto Rican students visited Aarhus and collaborated with our students.

Studio Context in India

Two teachers and 18 students from Studio Context have been doing field work in Southern India in cooperation with CARE School of Architecture in Tiruchirappalli, India. By using local materials, the students have constructed a small building for an NGO educational centre for farmers.
