Aarhus School of Architecture wants to strengthen digitalisation in architecture with an emphasis on industrialisation, component design, and digital production. We are looking for applicants with strong skills in digital fabrication and relevant experience from research or development work that corresponds to the requirements for an associate professorship.
We expect you to have experience from digital design and fabrication and general knowledge of building technique, tectonics, and architecture as an aesthetic and social art form.
The associate professorship is intended to explore the development and design of building components by applying digital design and production tools for the benefit of architectural practice, research, and teaching. This work might, for instance, be based on the development of not-standardised building components or in how digitalisation and digital fabrication can promote quality in the general construction of buildings.
An associate professorship is a permanent position with research and/or artistic development work as principal responsibilities. Publication, scientific dissemination and teaching are requirements. The position may also involve project management and administrative work as specifically agreed.
The position is open from 1 August 2017. Remuneration will be in accordance with the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC-fællesoverenskomsten).
