ARCHITECTING AFTER POLITICS
Angelika Hinterbrandner works in various collaborations on content and formats within the field of architecture and beyond. Her current research focuses on the political and legislative framework of the financialization of housing. She collaborates with Brandlhuber+/bplus.xyz as well as Kontextur exploring the potentials and responsibilities of future architects. As a teaching assistant at the ETH Zurich, she has been a member of Studio Arno Brandlhuber since 2021. In parallel, she is enrolled in the postgraduate program Leadership Digital Innovation at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
When visiting Open Architecture Day, Angelika Hinterbrandner, Jolene Lee, and Olaf Grawert share their perspective on why it is relevant to discuss property issues, architecture as political action, architecture as a cross-disciplinary collective practice, and, not least, the changing conditions of architectural production. How can we understand architecture systemically and beyond the built object? How can we develop new interdisciplinary practices that challenge the conditions of production in which architecture is thought and realised?
