WHERE ARE WE NOW, WHERE ARE WE NOW?
Aysha Amin is an artist, gallerist, project manager, curator and 1st year student at Aarhus School of Architecture.
Aysha is the co-founder and day-to-day manager of Andromeda8220. She also works as Aarhus correspondent for the architecture magazine The Funambulist and as co-Curator at CAFx Aarhus Architecture Festival. Amin’s work has been exhibited at places like The Architecture Biennale in Venice 2018, DAAD Galerie during the Berlin Biennale 2020, SMK: Statens Museum for Kunst, ArtHub Copenhagen, and Nikolai Kunsthall.
Amin’s work moves in the intersection between architecture and art. Her approach is playful, curious, and dreamy – she is concerned with a critical exploration of the relationship between the material/immaterial, the local/global, the individual and the community, the construction and experience of power structures, memories and human senses. She unfolds this through various archiving processes, interventions/installations, film, and sound.
Amin will participate in a conversation with Torben Nielsen, Rector of Aarhus School of Architecture. An Open conversation between two generations of architects – one to become and one to go – on gender, intersectionality, climate and – architecture.
