Birgitte Ejdrup Kristensen primarily works with sculptures in public spaces. Her works are often user-involved and inspired by the history of the location or a current theme. The materials range from asphalt, concrete, and recycled bricks to sound and visual digital media. Birgitte Ejdrup Kristensen has completed projects for Trygfonden, Realdania, municipalities, and the Danish Arts Foundation. She holds degrees from the Jutland Art Academy, the Center for Semiotics at Aarhus University, and the Aarhus School of Architecture. Together with visual artist Elle-Mie Ejdrup Hansen, she forms the artist duo Ejdrup&Ejdrup.
At OPEN23, you can experience her brick mediations inside M.1 at the library throughout the day.
