The Council of Architecture Students is the voice of the school’s students. We strive to make the education at Aarhus School of Architecture even better. We are currently working to ensure the transition and future relocation to NEW AARCH and that students are involved in this process. We also work to improve internal communication and operation in day-to-day life at the school.
Furthermore, the association relates to educational policies, local politics, and other policies relevant to students of architecture. The Council of Architecture Students is a member of the National Union of Students in Denmark (DSF).
Students can use the Council to clarify issues, file complaints, and contribute constructive ideas for improvements on all levels. We give you an opportunity to express your opinion on the study environment and the school’s various workshop facilities.
As a representative of your fellow students, you can pass on wishes, attitudes and thoughts about the education so that, together, we can improve the school’s learning processes and administrative work.
Our meetings are open to all students of Aarhus School of Architecture. We look forward to seeing you, regardless whether you want to attend regularly or only once, because you are interested in a particular case or problem that you want to address.
Apart from students from the school’s various units and studios, representatives of the students from the school’s various bodies also participate in the meetings (e.g. The School Board, The Study Board, and InSpe). So, regardless of the nature of your issue, there is a good chance we can help you find a solution.
We meet every Thursday at 12 during the lunch break in our room on the second floor of the administrative building, behind the computer lab. Agendas for meetings are posted in the Facebook group.
The members of the triumvirate are:
- Frederik Ankjær Normann Pedersen, chairman
- Johanna Sorgenfrei Dalland, vice-chairman for economic affairs
- Agnes Jarmund, political vice chairman
On a yearly basis, Aarhus School of Architecture supports the Council of Architecture Students with DKK 100.000, of which DKK 15.000 is from the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education in 2020.
