Rumgehør is a small Aarhus-based design studio working in an interdisciplinary field between architecture, design, art and urban experiment that also includes teaching. The overall intention is to create a dialogue and to develop a sustainable practice through the built and through conversations with the users. Rumgehør was founded by the architects Nikolaj Heede Noe and Rasmus Romme Brick Maabjerg who are partners alongside Chaos Pilot Victor Tambo.
By activating existing potentials and by caring and listening carefully to the clients, Rumgehør’s practice spans from sketching, concept development, small scale production, temporary architecture, installations and experiments 1:1. Playing, dreaming, and asking critical questions are fundamental tools in their process that eventually leads to sustainable projects that accommodate, represent and respect the user and the common world we live in.
At Open Architecture Day, Rumgehør joins the panel discussion “100% Green” together with Hahn Lavsen Architects, Spant Studio, KONDENS and Tideland Studio. The panel goes Behind the Scenes of starting up: How do you balance vision and architectural dreams while, at the same time, creating a sustainable business? The architects on stage represent five totally different approaches to architecture, however they all have a profound care for the environment at the heart of the business.
