The theme of the competition is ARCHITECTURE AND PEOPLE, and the images must relate to this theme. However, you are allowed to interpret the theme freely; and the competition welcomes experiments.
Participants must be enrolled at a school of architecture or have completed an architectural education in 2019. You may also participate if you are enrolled as a PhD student at a school of architecture, are on leave from your studies, or are doing an internship.
Participants must submit five images of the same location, building, landscape. These images will be judged as a series of images.
The deadline for submitting entries is 12.00 noon (CET) on 1 September 2019. Entries received after this time and date will not be considered.
The winners of the competition will be announced Monday, 7 October 2019 at an event at DOKK1, Hack Kampmanns Plads, 8000 Aarhus C.
We only accept digital contributions
The five images must be submitted in the jpg format and will be judged as a series of images.
Images must be submitted using the form below. You must make sure your contribution contains a unique ID of your own choosing. More about this in the next section. It is also important that you name your images with the same unique ID.
Submitting in the correct format is the participants’ own responsibility.
You must choose a unique ID consisting of three numbers and three letters (e.g. 123AAA).

To ensure the participants’ anonymity, we ask that you do not post your contribution to the competition on social media in a way that reveals your identity.
When you submit your entries to the competition, you give Aarhus School of Architecture permission to use your images in exhibitions at the school and elsewhere. You also permit Aarhus School of Architecture to post the images on the school’s website, in the school’s social media, and in an e-book containing competition entries. You will always be credited for your photos.
After the publication of the winners, Aarhus School of Architecture reserves the right to publish submitted images on social media along with the names of the participants.
By participating you also give Aarhus School of Architecture permission to contact you at a later time.
