The exhibition explores questions of cultural heritage and preservation through large-scale latex casts of endangered architecture from the historic city center of Taranto, Italy.<\/p>\n<h2>What is worth preserving?<\/h2>\n<p>Through a meticulous 1:1 preservation of three decaying buildings in Taranto Vecchia, the exhibition invites visitors to engage with the fragile beauty of what is often overlooked. These surfaces\u2014marked by pollution, time, and human neglect\u2014become physical imprints of a city&#8217;s complex recent history.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition captures the unpredictable aesthetics of decay: spontaneous patterns formed as architecture is reclaimed by nature. What may appear ordinary at first glance reveals subtle details and hidden narratives upon closer inspection.<\/p>\n<p>The two artists, who graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 2024, developed Textures of Time as an extension of their final thesis project.
