{"id":257832,"date":"2025-12-16T15:44:54","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T14:44:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aarch.dk\/?post_type=event&#038;p=257832"},"modified":"2025-12-16T15:52:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T14:52:08","slug":"skin-bone","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/aarch.dk\/en\/event\/skin-bone\/","title":{"rendered":"Skin &#038; Bone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Right now the Library hosts a brand new exhibition of models made by students at the spring course HARD CO(u)R(s)E.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the topic Skin &amp; Bone, second-year students have been working with glass and bronze creating some spectacular objects.<\/p>\n<p>The glass shapes originate from sculptures formed out of clay. The sculptures were scanned using a 3D scanner, and the scans were then modified in Rhino and AlphaCAM to generate code for milling the glass forms on the CNC milling machine.<\/p>\n<p>To create the bronze structures, the students used an old technique called cire perdue or lost wax. 3D prints combined with other materials, such as wax, were cast in a mold made from a mix of plaster and grog.
