Beatriz Colomina (ES\/US) is an internationally renowned architectural historian and theorist who has written extensively on questions of architecture, art, technology, sexuality, and media. She is the Howard Crosby Butler Professor of Architecture and the Founding Director of the interdisciplinary Media and Modernity Program at Princeton University.<\/p>\n

Her books include\u00a0Privacy and Publicity: Modern Architecture as Mass Media<\/em>\u00a0(1994), Domesticity at War <\/em>(2007), Clip\/Stamp\/Fold <\/em>(2010), Are We Human? Notes on an Archaeology of Design<\/em> (2016), X-Ray Architecture <\/em>(2019), and Radical Pedagogies<\/em> (2022). Her exhibitions include Clip\/Stamp\/Fold <\/em>(2006), Playboy Architecture <\/em>(2012), Radical Pedagogies <\/em>(2014) and Sick Architecture <\/em>(2022). In 2016 she was co-curator with Mark Wigley of the 3rd<\/sup> Istanbul Design Biennial on the theme of Are We Human<\/em>? She is Doctor Honoris Causa by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. In 2020 she was awarded the Ada Louise Huxtable Prize for her contributions to the field of architecture. In 2022 she was inducted as member of the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain and in 2024 she received an Architecture Award by the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York. She is currently co-curating\u00a0with Mark Wigley the exhibition We the Bacteria: Notes Toward Biotic Architecture<\/em>\u00a0for the 2025 Milan Triennale.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
