Henrik Tvarnø (DK) is a historian by training who left academia for leadership—and unexpectedly spent over 30 years involved in construction. He has been a builder in many forms: as rector of Odense University/SDU, where Cubo Architects designed new auditoriums and entrances; as director of the Danish Parliament, overseeing rapid summer renovations; and as director at the AP Møller Foundations, where preservation and building are key tasks.

His experience spans from large-scale projects like Tirpitz and Hammershus to complex renovations like Nyboder and the Panum Tower. He’s made many mistakes, learned from them, and developed strong views on how building processes in Denmark can be improved.
