Tom Nielsen (DK) is an architect and professor of urban and landscape planning at the Aarhus School of Architecture, where he has been teaching landscape architecture, urban design, and urban planning since 2004.

His research focuses on the transformation of the city. This has included research into urban landscapes and public space, suburban transformation, urbanizing territories, and the relationship between urban concepts, values, and the ethics of contemporary urban transformation. Books available in English include Gellerup (co-authored 2021), Earthly Cities (2024), and The City Denmark (2026).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>

B\u00f8rn og unge er fremtidens medborgere, beslutningstagere, bygherrer, r\u00e5dgivere og arkitekter, og det er afg\u00f8rende, at vi inviterer dem med ind i arkitekturens verden fra en tidlig alder. Et tre\u00e5rigt undervisningsforl\u00f8b i arkitektur og urbanisme for 15\u201318-\u00e5rige i Gellerup viser nye veje til social b\u00e6redygtighed ved at udvide fagets m\u00f8der med virkeligheden. Men er arkitektur f\u00f8rst og fremmest et redskab til at skabe rum, eller kan den ogs\u00e5 facilitere demokratiske processer?<\/span><\/p>\n
