Digital drawing and fabrication has fundamentally changed the basis of architectural design. It has allowed an increased integration of manufacturing technologies into an early stage of the design process. Through prototyping digital drawing and fabrication has created an opportunity to expand tectonic and tactile possibilities of standard materials.

This dynamic fluctuation between drawing and materiality, between architectural idea and physical manifestation creates the territory for the PhD project. The objective is to investigate the potential for architectural reflection between digital drawing tools and digital fabrication processes and wit this angle find opportunities for new material approach.
