A Journey through Alsatian Architecture \u2013 JTA 2026 will take place from September 1 to 14, 2026. The program offers a unique opportunity to explore Alsace\u2019s rich and living architectural heritage, shaped by Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical influences.<\/p>\n
Participants will visit beautiful towns and villages such as Ammerschwihr, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Ribeauvill\u00e9, Colmar, and Strasbourg, as well as the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle and the \u00c9comus\u00e9e d\u2019Alsace. The program combines lectures on traditional construction techniques and post-war reconstructions with drawing and study sessions focusing on fa\u00e7ades, timber structures, joinery, and stone carvings.<\/p>\n
This experience allows participants to observe, measure, and sketch, while meeting local craftsmen\u2014carpenters, stonemasons, and masons\u2014who preserve centuries-old skills.
