A NEW PARADIGM FOR CONSTRUCTION AND ARCHITECTURE
Aarhus School of Architecture, Aarhus University, and consulting engineering firm Søren Jensen launched Aarhus Center for Regenerative Building in 2024. The center was established in response to the urgent need for a new construction practice.
Regenerative construction is not merely sustainable in the traditional sense but actively contributes to restoring ecosystems. Through knowledge, we aim to develop and promote holistic solutions that redefine the interplay between climate, nature, people, and construction.
As a partner in ACRB, Aarhus School of Architecture seeks to strengthen research and educational collaborations to drive systemic change in the construction industry. This includes contributing to the regeneration of balance between nature and people through new collaboration models, networks, and knowledge dissemination. Our research team explores how research knowledge can be transformed into concrete design within a regenerative practice.
