PhD degree and Doctoral thesis.
The PhD programme offered by Aarhus School of Architecture is an internationally recognised researcher training programme. This independent programme supplements the Master’s Degree Programme. PhD students at the school carry out an independent PhD project under the guidance of experienced researchers, while being part of the school’s research environment.

A doctorate is awarded in recognition of the author’s scientific maturity and insight, and because the author has made a significant contribution to the development of research through his dissertation.
Persons who hold a Master’s degree or a PhD degree within the subject areas of Aarhus School of Architecture are entitled to submit a doctoral dissertation for assessment.
