It is – and always has been – an integral part of being an architect to travel the world, share knowledge and learn from other cultures. Architecture is developed, communicated and built in a globalised world.
We cooperate with a variety of internationally acclaimed universities abroad and have many international professors, teachers and students at the school who contribute to a vibrant atmosphere. And we continuously exchange students with architecture schools abroad and receive visits from renowned lecturers from around the world.
Examples of international collaboration:
- A collaboration between Aarhus municipality and the city of Tshwane in the capital Pretoria in South Africa, where Aarhus School of Architecture will contribute with new knowledge of sustainable urban development.
- A collaboration across Nordic countries on professional studies (NORDMAK).
- A collaboration with Auburn University on exchange hosted by AAA in the spring 18, 2019 and 2020.
- A collaboration with Storefront in New York on Letters to the Parliament in 2017.
- A collaboration with Cape Town, South Africa on stadium project.
