The cartographies in De Blå Danmarkskort explore water’s connections from the surface down to the deep groundwater, based on GIS data and historical cartographic techniques.

Finissage June 20 at 14:30 – everyone is welcome.

The dynamics of water are interconnected, complex, multifaceted, and not always obvious. At the same time, our perceptions of water’s paths are often influenced by land uses that we expect to be a certain way.

The cartographies in De Blå Danmarkskort investigate water’s connections from the surface down to the deep groundwater, based on GIS data and historical cartographic methods.

The aim is to create new images, narratives, as well as curiosity and dialogue about water and new land uses towards a more holistic and nature-based understanding and management framework across the country.

We hope you’ll come by to dive into and explore the hidden connections of water!

The exhibition communicates Det blå danmarkskort, Kartografiske Fortællinger about Vandets Veje, which is part of the project Vandets veje under Agenda Earth – a larger initiative that gives words and images to the built environment and landscapes of the future, and explores the legal frameworks necessary to enable this. The initiative is run by Arkitektforeningen and developed continuously in collaboration with Dreyers Fond and Advokatsamfundet – and is supported by Dreyers Fond.
