Uncertain Conditions
Truwant + Rodet + is a Basel-based architecture studio founded in 2015 by Charlotte Truwant and Dries Rodet. The office develops projects without cynicism or nostalgia, actively engaging with all available technologies and specialists while carefully considering the intricacies of the landscape, the territory, and their historical dimensions. Consequently, the proposals can be read as abstract ideas that crystallize and resonate with their environment. Rather than considering architecture as a rigid discipline that produces fixed and hermetic objects, Truwant + Rodet + proposes to think about the potentials that could be put in place to foster unexpected phenomena and relationships. Architecture as a generator of potentials and conditions. Architecture that can be conducive to evolution and transformation over time. In this perspective, uncertainty becomes perhaps the only certainty.
