The Conques Summer School of Vernacular Architecture (CSSVA 2026) is an intensive international programme organised by La Table Ronde de l’Architecture, held in Conques, France, from 26 August to 7 September 2026. Set in a remarkably well-preserved medieval village along the Camino de Santiago, Conques offers a unique architectural context shaped by centuries of vernacular construction and its renowned Romanesque abbey. Taught in English, the summer school combines lectures, guided site visits, drawing sessions, and craft workshops, encouraging close observation and hands-on learning. The programme is open to participants aged 18 and over, with applications due by 27 March 2026.
