Join us for the opening reception of the exhibition ‘What is not different’ with Studio Sotnas in Udstillingen at Exners Plads 7. The exhibition will show their recent work, lost, unfinished and ongoing projects.
Studio Sotnas is an architecture practice founded in 2021 by Gonçalo André Pires and Pedro Santos Saraiva. Based in Aarhus (DK) and Lisbon (PT) it focuses on the conception and construction of spaces and buildings – across all scales. The work develops out of a border between fact and fiction, effectively collapsing the difference between the two. The limits of the factual become the threshold of narrative, while the fictive is a kind of mediating element between reality and interpretation, aiming to construct casual juxtapositions of the elevated with the banal and striving to find evidence in convincing paradoxical logic.
The opening reception is on March 14th at 15.00 and will be followed by a ‘Fredagsbar’ hosted by the student association Arkibal.
