Dani Burrows (UK) has a glutenous curiosity about food. She delights in it as a way to learn, think and feel with more than human species. She is the granddaughter of smallholders, the daughter of restaurateurs and a mother with an educational background in art history. Since 2016, Dani has been Director of Care for CLIMAVORE, a research platform that questions how to eat as humans change climates.

Founded by Cooking Sections (Daniel Fernández Pascual and Alon Schwabe) in 2015, CLIMAVORE is a call to rethink the broken food system to tackle the new seasonalities of climate change, while addressing the extractive and intensive practices that create it. Dani’s work is rooted in collaborations to form a long term processual practice creating strategies and programmes with communities to reimagine and support the work of transforming food production, distribution and consumption while cultivating habitats. Dani is Project Manager of CLIMAVORE x Jameel at the Royal College of Art, a research lab that reimagines foodways for drylands and wetlands in the climate crisis. The lab advances ecological networks to produce new knowledge and action towards spatial justice. From 2014-2021 Dani curated The Politics of Food programm at Delina Foundation, an interdisciplinary residency programme that manifested in public programmes including meals, exhibitions, walks, talks, pickings, pop-up cafes, and a co-edited book with the same title.
