OPEN24 - Aarhus School of Architecture

The returning OPEN architecture festival continues the critical and investigative approach to architecture in a changing world, encouraging the important dialogue between Practice, Business and Academia. This year, OPEN explores The Ocean In Which We All Swim – curated by curator Karen Kjaergaard and co-curators, Margarida Waco, and Simon Strøyer.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The festival is dedicated to the emerging, established and radical voices within the architectural field. From five scenes, the programme features thematic panel talks, interviews, lectures, performances, exhibitions, and artistic interventions, all of this taking place in the unique setting at Aarhus School of Architecture with DJ, street food and relaxed atmosphere.

THE THEME

In a compelling exploration of hydro experiences, OPEN24 ventures onto a liquid journey unfolding as a canvas on which architecture and water coalesce, threading together the individual and the collective.Through myriad ways of seeing and sensing from emerging and established positions, OPEN24 foregrounds architectural, environmental, geo-political and philosophical lenses to carve out the contours of our planetary futures.
