Research Labs

How research is organised at the school.

The academic staff is organised into two large units called research labs. The labs gather researchers with common professional interests and strengthen knowledge sharing and collaboration in specific academic fields.

The research labs are part of our work to further develop and strengthen the school’s research profile. We believe that this structure makes our research expertise and professional knowledge more focused and that we, in this way, can strengthen our collaborations with architectural practice, municipalities and other actors in the construction industry.

The research labs will contribute to research within the school’s three focus areas – habitation, transformation, and sustainability – as well as in the field of research by design.
