The Danish Science Festival

During the Danish Research Science Festival 2022, Aarhus School of Architecture will host the open seminar “Thinking Wood. Research & Practice.” The event is developed by Wood Lab, the science laboratory of innovative wood construction.

A wide panel of international researchers, educators and architects from practice explore the spectrum between old craft techniques and new digital tools: How can digital tools and robotics e.g. help us make better use of the tree and our resources? What can we learn from the past, and is wood really the building material of the future?

The programme features presentations, panel debate, exhibition as well as demonstrations in the school’s workshops.
