The school is facilitating an academic professional network that connects architectural practices with activities at the school. The network’s primary purpose is to provide a framework for the exchange of knowledge and to establish new types of partnerships within architecture, design and planning.
The network includes professionals from local practices as well as teachers and researchers from the school. It organises various types of events with the aim of discussing opportunities for cooperation and sharing professional challenges. The network is also used for discussing new educational programmes and activities, e.g. internships.
OpenRoom seminars
The primary setting for knowledge exchange is the OpenRoom seminars, where particular subjects related to the field are discussed.
OpenRoom publications
Former sessions about technology, export, production, co-creation and workspace is being published in a book series. See the previous publications:
The Bachelor Corps
Aarhus School of Architecture has a team of volunteer local practising architects, who are sometimes present for critiques and discussions on the Bachelor’s degree programme. This dialogue is to our mutual benefit and a source of inspiration. It also creates many valuable connections.
