Friday 30 November the winners of Drawing of the Year 2018 were announced at the Dokk1 multimedia centre on Aarhus harbourfront. This was the sixth consecutive year Aarhus School of Architecture arranged the international student competition. This year’s theme was “Shaping New Realities”.
After a celebratory speech by theatre director Christian Lollike, who discussed the theme, this year’s winners were revealed. Read the speech by Christian Lollike (pdf in Danish).
Tianjing Lim, from Dessau International School of Architecture, received the first prize of 5000 euro, Pascale Julien, Matt Breton-Honeyman and Amélie Savoie-Saumure, from McGill School of Architecture in Montreal, were awarded the second prize, and Jason Ho, from The Bartlett School of Architecture in London, was awarded the third prize. Another eight projects received special mentions.
After the award ceremony, an exhibition presenting a selection of the 307 entries for Drawing of the Year opened on the square outside Dokk1. You can visit the exhibition until and including 18 December. The exhibition is open every day from 8.00 to 22.00.
