Every day, something special happens in teaching—engaging lectures, inspiring workshops, and new learning. The many great stories deserve to be shared so they can inspire even more people.

Come and experience the exhibition “Making the Invisible Visible, VOL. 2”, where the Didactic Lab once again makes room for the many strong teaching stories from Aarhus School of Architecture.

Through 13 interviews conducted by student Ida Bjerga, inspiring teaching is brought into the spotlight. Lecturer Trine Johansen Koch points out that progression and coherence are absolutely crucial, and that the didactic logic of the bachelor’s programme lies in developing the entire creative process—from landscape to city, dwelling, and detail. For lecturer Robert Trempe, teaching is at its strongest when we experiment—even though new formats often make us uncertain before they open up better ways of working.

The exhibition also includes reflections on teaching as curation and movement. Curator Karen Kjærgaard describes her curatorial and exhibition practice as designing the architecture of the moment—cutting away the superfluous so the narrative can breathe. A didactic approach that is not static, but performative and constantly evolving.

Drop by for a finissage with snacks and drinks on Wednesday, 25 February at 16.00 in the Library, 1st floor, where Karen Kjærgaard will give a talk on exhibitions as a didactic approach titled “When Attitude Becomes Form”. There will be readings from selected passages from the 13 newspapers.

The exhibition is open from 5–27 February and can be seen during the school’s opening hours.
