Can Greenland foster greater political and economic autonomy by rethinking its building strategies with a focus on local materials, including the possibility of load bearing stone? Using speculative collage, a survey of current technical challenges and historical research, this article revisits Greenland’s Technical Organisation (GTO) and asks whether the time has come for a new state laboratory for architecture.
