ADMISSION
To apply for admission to the Master’s programme, you must have completed your Bachelor’s degree in architecture or architectural studies.
Below you can read about the different application options. How to apply depends on whether you have a bachelor’s degree from Aarhus School of Architecture, from another educational institution or if you are applying as an international student.
Graduates from Aarhus School of Architecture
If you have completed a Bachelor’s degree programme in architecture at Aarhus School of Architecture, you have a legal claim for admission if you apply for admission to the Master’s degree programme immediately following your Bachelor’s degree programme, i.e. at the next study start after your graduation.
In addition, Aarhus School of Architecture guarantees admission to the Master’s degree programme if you apply for admission within 3 years of completing your Bachelor’s degree programme at Aarhus School of Architecture. Your guarantee lapses if you apply but do not accept the offer of admission. This means that if you regret an application, you must cancel it before the application deadline.

Deadline for applications for the Master’s programme with a semester start date of 1 September: 15 May at 12:00 (same year)

Graduates from Aarhus School of Architecture who graduated more than three years ago
If you have completed your bachelor’s degree at Aarhus School of Architecture more than three years ago, you must follow the procedure described in the link below, where application deadlines and guidelines are also listed. You use the procedure for the international students, as it ensures better coordination of the application process.
Bachelors from other Danish educational institutions
If you have completed a bachelor from another Danish educational institution than Aarhus School of Architecture, you can apply via the link below. You follow the procedure for the international students, as it ensures better coordination of the application process.
Applicants with Bachelor Degrees from the Danish Construction Management Programmes are not eligible for admission to the Master of Arts Programme. Persons with Bachelor Degrees from the Engineering Programmes at the Technical University of Denmark, Aarhus University and Aalborg University are not eligible for admission to the Master of Arts programme.
Deadline
The deadline for applying to the Master’s Degree Programme is February 1st. for program start the following September.

International students
We offer a two-year Master of Arts in Architecture (MA) taught in English for all international students with a bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent from a different educational institution than Aarhus School of Architecture. And we offer studies for exchange and guest students as well.
