Investigating the properties and potential of materials to open up new opportunities
Investigating the properties and potential of materials to open up new opportunities
The project Material Imagination: Reconnect with the Matter of Architecture seeks to combine a historical, philosophical and phenomenological understanding of materials with practical material experiments through the use of advanced digital tools. Through studies in three locally based materials: Nordic wood, Nordic marble and concrete, the project will explore the inner life of materials and open up novel associations and possibilities for these materials to interact with architecture and the human body.
