Mette Baarup (DK) graduated as an architect from Aarhus School of Architecture in 2001. Throughout her career, she has focused on the development and design of projects that make a societal impact—such as schools, healthcare facilities, and civic buildings like town halls and libraries with multifunctional programs.

“I’m fascinated by architecture that creates immediate experiences for users—moments of light, atmosphere, or emotion—perhaps without them even realizing it’s architecture at play. At the same time, I value the influence we as architects have on shaping society’s future through the environments we create. Today, we must build less, but that doesn’t mean we should stop creating architecture that can positively affect us.”
