In the future we will be cooperating with Verner Overgaards Familiefond on awarding a technology and design scholarship to graduates from Aarhus School of Architecture.
The aim of the scholarship is to give the school’s graduates an opportunity to carry out research in technology and design with a focus on the industrial design processes of construction. The scholarship will also give the recipients an insight into life as a researcher at the school, as the scholarship recipients will be part of the research environment and will be receiving continuous supervision.
The recipient of the scholarship will be employed as a research assistant at Aarhus School of Architecture for a period of 11 months. At the end of this period, the recipient must present work that identifies ways of developing and optimising construction in terms of design by applying the technological possibilities available today.
Verner Overgaards Familiefond wants to support graduates from the school who show a particular potential for researching technology and design. The scholarship will be awarded annually to one to two students.
About Verner Overgaards Familiefond
Verner Overgaards Familiefond (The Verner Overgaard Family Foundation) was founded in 1983 by Verner Overgaard. Since then, the foundation has awarded grants to people in need of financial support. Verner Overgaards Familiefond has now launched a project aimed at awarding awards and scholarships in collaboration with several universities. In this connection, the foundation wishes to award the Technology and Design Scholarship to graduates from Aarhus School of Architecture to give these graduates an opportunity to carry out research within technology and design.
Verner Overgaard originally founded VOLA, who, among other things, produce bathroom installations. True to the founder’s spirit, the foundation focuses on providing support for upgrading design skills.
