The chairmanship of the censor corps in architecture, design and conservation invites applications for appointment as censor for the period 1 September 2022 – 31 August 2026.

The appointment applies to the programs at the Aarhus School of Architecture, the Kolding School of Design and the Royal Academy.

In order to be appointed as a censor, the applicant must have:

relevant research-based education at master’s level,
specific competence within one or more professional sub-areas that are included in the education, and
current knowledge about the scope of the Program employment possibilities, including knowledge of the employer situation and needs.
Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
in-depth and current knowledge of the subject area’s scientific disciplines, including the subject’s theories and methods

In addition to participating in external examinations and supervising the holding of examinations, an external examiner must report on his or her participation in examination procedures and make contributions by advising on the examination system at the universities, e.g. hearings on changes in laws and regulations.

The framework and conditions for appointment as a censor appear from the Executive Order on examinations and censorship at the higher artistic educations under the Ministry of Education and Research, BKG no. 29 of 13 January 2020.

It is assumed that applicants are willing to prioritize censor assignments in relation to other activities in the periods when, as a result of ordinary examinations and assessment of master’s theses, there are particularly many exams.

Applications will be processed by the external examiner chairmanship and the heads of education / deans of the educations with a view to a comprehensive recommendation for appointment to the Danish Agency for Education and Research.

With your application, you consent to your personal data being processed as part of the setting. If you are appointed as a censor, your personal information will be used to the extent necessary for appointment to censor assignments and other communication in the censor corps. If you are not appointed, your personal information will be deleted within one month of the censorship chairmanship nominations.
