Do you wish to attend a programme at the Aarhus School of Architecture as an exchange or guest student?
(from institutions with which the Aarhus School of Architecture has an agreement with)
You must be nominated for an exchange with the Aarhus School of Architecture through your International Office or coordinator. After we receive the nomination, you will get further information from us. So do not jump to “Apply” just yet!
(applicants from non-partner institutions)
In order to apply, you must send us an application containing the following:
Language requirements
Exchange and guest students must comply with the below-mentioned requirements:
Only these tests are considered sufficient documentation. And for admission to the Department of Cultural Heritage, we require that you are able to read and write one of the Scandinavian languages.
Exemptions from the English language requirements are as follows:
Portfolio requirements
The portfolio must be in either A4 or A3 size (PDF format) not exceeding 30 pages or 15 MB. It must be easily readable and providing an introduction to the presented projects etc. is mandatory. The portfolio is crucial to the entire evaluation of your application and will determine whether you are admitted or not.
Please note that we are an architecture school with a focus on the artistic aspects of architecture. This means that we are not only interested in the final projects you have completed but also very much in the process leading to your projects.
Your portfolio must reflect your command of small and large scale. If the projects are group projects, or a project you worked on while connected to a company (either as an employee or intern), your particular contributions should be clearly described.
It is your responsibility that the portfolio reaches us before the application deadline. The school is not responsible for any delays due to technical problems or problems with the regular mail service. Failure to comply with application instructions and deadlines may cause your application to be rejected.
