Aarhus Architecture Week is held this year under the theme “Architecture You Can Feel”, from October 6–12. The week, which also marks World Architecture Day, has become an annual event where Aarhus Municipality puts the spotlight on architecture and urban development.
The extensive program spans a wide range of activities and aims to create experiences through exhibitions, workshops, and events where citizens can meet architects, urban planners, and other professionals who share visions and knowledge — contributing to a lively conversation about the city’s development and the role of architecture in our everyday lives.
Aarhus School of Architecture is of course taking part – and this year you can meet us at the following events:
- October 6 – Opening of Architecture Week at Dokk1 in collaboration with The Academic Association of Architects East Jutland, where recent graduate Josefine Gerdes will present her thesis project: “Where the Village Grows: Development Potentials Between Tradition and Future”, based on the village of Spørring.
- October 6–10 – Exhibition at Onsite Gallery: Unruly, Slow Landscapes – an exploration of local plant materials and their significance for place identity and future development.
