_Internship
Are you interested in the field between art and architecture? Would you like to work with installation art, public art commissions, and exhibitions? Are you eager to take part in a dynamic artistic studio with diverse projects and a high level of ambition?
_Background
AVPD is a Danish artist duo founded by Aslak Vibæk and Peter Døssing in 1997, based in Copenhagen. At AVPD, we are concerned with how surfaces, spaces, objects, and people interact and appear to one another in the intersection between art and architecture. We work to dissect the phenomena of time, space, and body, and
explore the in-between of reality and perception. We have an extensive exhibition career in Denmark and abroad, and are represented in both public and private collections. In recent years, we have focused particularly on large scale public art commissions.
_Internship content
The internship period will include several parallel projects. You will therefore have the opportunity to gain insight into both project development and realization. You will work on many aspects of a project — from sketching and concept development to the full-scale realization of works. Throughout the internship, you will be actively involved in the development and realization of a number of projects, including an as-yet-unannounced project in England; building-integrated works for the upcoming Crafts College at Musicon in Roskilde, developed in collaboration with
Reværk and LOOP Architects; the development of works for an upcoming solo exhibition; compe-
titions; work with photo documentation and text; and ongoing development, prototyping, testing, and production of artworks, public art, and exhibition concepts.
_Languages
Danish / English
_Skills
Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as SketchUp and Rhino are higly appreciated. Ideally, you also have solid craftsmanship skills for model-making and practical work. You should
be adaptable, able to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate within our team.
