We are pleased to invite you to join the last panel of our series on Gender and Diversity in Architecture, called Imagining Diverse Futures.

Some of the questions we seek to address are:

  • What are we talking about when we talk about the future in architecture?
  • How do we imagine futures which prioritize empathy, sensitivity and care?
  • How do we tell the story of the future together?

We have two great panellists to contribute to this interdisciplinary discussion on imagining a diverse future in architecture:
(format: 15 min presentation each from the panellists and a general Q&A discussion afterwards)

Amy Butt
Amy is an architect and Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Reading, and author of the really excellent paper: “‘Endless Forms, Vistas and Hues:’ Why Architects Should Read Science Fiction”. She’ll also bring members of the Beyond Gender Research Collective along.

Regina Kanyu Wang
Regina is a Science Fiction Writer, Translator, Editor, and Scholar, and currently working on a PhD with the CoFUTURES project at the University of Oslo.

It is a hybrid event that you can attend physically at the Aarhus School of Architecture (Auditorium, Exner Plads 7, Aarhus C) or register on zoom for Friday 06 May 2022, 14:30 to 16:00 (CET).
