There are some methods that provide a framework for structuring qualitative data, like mind mapping, concept mapping etc. The presentation will refer to these methods and discuss the need and ways of bringing insight into the research data by providing some works of the lecturer as examples, like Becoming Istanbul, Mapping Istanbul.

About Pelin Derviş

Architect; independent researcher, writer and editor. Her works are based on research, documentation and cultural activities focus mainly on 20th-century architecture and design in Turkey. Some of the publications she contributed with are: Becoming Istanbul, Tracing Istanbul [from the air], Mapping Istanbul.

In 2020, she founded Pelin Derviş Publication Project, Architectural Model Making in Turkey being the first book of the project.
