The School in Real–Time is a 24-hour pedagogical experiment, set to explore online learning and working in architecture. The event will take place in mixed reality, accessible both URL and IRL, in the purpose-built multimedia space of the newly inaugurated building of Aarhus School of Architecture. From the morning of November 11th until the morning after, the school will beam in practitioners, students, thinkers, and nomads of the metaverse across multiple time zones and geographies. Through multiple formats, such as micro-lectures, software sessions, collective deep dreams, and a fully automated pyjama party, we will stress-test architecture’s relationship to virtual tools and environments, digital materialities, online communities, and platform-driven immaterial labor practices.
Students and colleagues are welcome to join us in the Didakteket, at every moment of the day. Working tables, soft surfaces, wifi, beverages and light refreshments will be provided.
