
Momoyo Kaijima (JP) is an architect and professor, and co-founded Atelier Bow-Wow with Yoshiharu Tsukamoto in 1992. She is Professor of Architectural Behaviorology at ETH Zurich and, since 2024, president of NPO Cheer Art. Kaijima’s work explores the relationship between architecture and urban life, with a focus on everyday behaviors and spatial practices.
She has taught at institutions including Harvard GSD, ETH Zurich, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Rice University, Delft University of Technology, Columbia University, Yale School of Architecture, and as The Rothwell Co-Chair (2024–2026). In 2012, she received the RIBA International Fellowship and curated the Japan Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. In 2022, she was awarded the Wolf Prize in Architecture. Kaijima holds a PhD from Tokyo Institute of Technology and has a long-standing commitment to research and design at the intersection of architecture, behavior, and society.
