Anne Mette Boye (DK) is the City Architect of Aarhus and a prominent voice in the development of sustainable cities of the future. She works in the intersection of architecture, urban planning, landscape, and politics – with a special focus on transforming the existing and activating the inherent qualities of place.

At Aarhus Municipality, she works strategically and across disciplines to ensure high urban quality, climate-conscious solutions, and architecture centred on human well-being. She has initiated the Aarhus Urban and Landscape Laboratory and Aarhus Architecture Week as platforms for professional immersion, dialogue, and experimentation with urban and landscape spaces. She is committed to using architectural thinking and long-term approaches to foster urban development that both takes responsibility for what exists and boldly shapes what is to come.
