The CA²RE conference visits Aarhus in 2023

On the 23-25 of March, the CA²RE conference will take place at Aarhus School of Architecture. The conference gathers professionals working with Design-Driven research in different artistic fields. It aims to improve Design-Driven research quality through intensive peer reviewing at critical stages. The conference is still open for submissions of abstracts for PhD candidates, postdoctoral and senior researchers in the diverse fields of Design-Driven research at any stage of their research to present and discuss their work. “Our goal is to unite researchers working with Design-Driven research and accomplished supervisors and create an international network. We want to highlight this type of knowledge production happening through a vital tool in architectural practice”, says Claus Peder Pedersen, chair of the Organizing Team & Scientific Committee and Head of the PhD School at the Aarhus School of Architecture.

New theme

The CA²RE Conference is a biannual event hosted worldwide by the CA²RE Network. This is the 13th Care Conference, and the theme will be EXCHANGING. The conference will take place at the Aarhus School of Architecture in association with ARENA, EAAE and ELIA.

“At the previous conferences, a lot of focus was put on PhD students, but this time, we want to include more experienced researchers. We are trying to do that with new formats such as talks and debates amongst the researches as a supplement to the more well-known research presentations”, Claus Peder Pedersen says.
