Nuria Casais (ES) is a PhD architect and assistant professor at Aarhus School of Architecture.

She has taught and conducted research at institutions including the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, Politecnico di Milano, and the Barcelona Institute of Architecture. Her work explores architecture and urban space through a trans-scalar lens, examining how territories, cities, buildings and details influence each other—particularly in relation to contemporary urban living. She also investigates the transformation of architecture with a focus on durability and maintenance in housing.

Nuria was co-director of the architecture journals Quaderns (#272) and AT (#22), and has shared her research widely through lectures, publications, and exhibitions. Since 2015, she has worked through her practice GrauCasais on urban and architectural projects with an emphasis on adaptive reuse. Her work has been awarded in multiple competitions, including the Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial.
