Studio 2C: Habitation, Building Culture and Tectonics

Studio 2C is an architectural design studio that intends to educate future young architects to provide excellent alternatives to how our species transforms and constructs the physical environment. The studio combines inquiry and study of the conditions and qualities that make a specific place inhabitable, architectural history and theory that can operate within a cultural context, and how to implement and develop building systems and techniques while contributing to meaningful improvements in these areas. Dwelling, building culture and tectonics converge at Studio 2C to produce relevant architectural proposals for societal and ecological present and long-term needs. As such, the studio focuses on residential architecture in the broadest sense.
