Caroline Anna Salling (DK) is Postdoc at the Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen. She studies the social relations, technical developments and economic arrangements of infrastructures and their implications for ecologies and local communities. Particularly with attention to the ways in which industries and communities take ownership of energy differently with consequences for the escalation of climate change. Her research has ethnographically dived into the ways in which the tech industry through datacenter construction ties itself together with energy infrastructure and its effects. She cares about how to collectively make academic work more actionable as answer to the violence of multiple dominant regimes while nurturing peaceful patterns of practice.
She is a recently appointed co-editor of the scholarly led open access book publisher Mattering Press and co-organises the Green Network for Researchers (Det Grønne Forskernetværk) with membership of more than 400 researchers across Danish institutions and disciplines that collaborate for climate action.
