Katrina Wiberg (DK) has a solid background in architectural practice and is now teaching and researching at Aarhus School of Architecture.

Katrina is working with transformative design research/landscape architectural research through design in practice-oriented, transdisciplinary contexts within the field of green transition and climate adaption in the context of waterscapes and nature-based solutions in urban landscapes, focusing on multiple benefits such as biodiversity, social coherence and equity, safe spaces, sensory spaces and atmosphere. Katrina’s current research is on sea-level rise, coastal cities and adapting urban landscapes to changing waterscapes, with a departure in transformative design via nature-based strategies with long-term perspectives. Some of her main methods are interaction research and mapping.

Katrina’s Ph.D. project Waterscapes of Value – value creation through climate adaptation in everyday landscapes was awarded the Dristighedsprisen 2018 from Statens Kunstfond. Katrina’s research is exhibited in the Danish Pavilion Coastal Imaginaries at the Venice Biennale 2023.
